Heat Press Method Instructions

1/2 inch felt is used

Important Note: Allow the substrate to fully cool after the Pre-Press

1. Sticky lint roll the white imaging area of the substrate.

2. Put a sheet of protective paper on the bottom of the press. Media armbands press better in the seam area if you lay them down around piece of ½” felt, with the paper in between. Hide the Velcro strap behind your piece of felt and hand the buckle off the press.

4. Place the substrate onto the paper. Imaging side face-up during the pre-press.

5) Put a sheet of protective paper on top of the substrate.

6. Pre-heat for 10 or 20 seconds, as noted. Be sure to hang the buckles off of the edge of the press as much as you can. They must not come into contact with the heated platen.

7. Sticky lint roll the white imaging area of the substrate while warm.

8. Apply a light mist of Adhesive Spray onto the image to be transferred.

10. Place the image facedown onto the face-up substrate and wrap around the protective paper and felt (hide the Velcro) on the bottom of the press.

11. Cover with protective paper.

12. Press.

OUR INSTRUCTIONS ARE BASED ON USING A DK20S, DK3110 AND/OR A COUNTER TOP CONVECTION OVEN. TIMES AND TEMPERATURES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON WHICH EQUIPMENT YOU USE.
