Heat Press Method Instructions

OT3 3.5 minutes
OT4 4 minutes
OT5 4.5 minutes
OT6 5 minutes

1. Print the transfer, mirrored.

2. Cover the bottom of the heat press with a protective sheet of paper.

3. Lightly mist the transfer with DyeTrans Adhesive Spray or use heat tape. Place the transfer on the face of the tile, smooth wrinkles. Should you decide to use heat tape, be sure it does not overlap the image on the other side of the page. Improperly applied heat tape will cause the affected area of the transfer to be inhibited.

4. Place the tile face up onto the protective sheet of paper and apply 1/8” Heat Conductive Rubber on top of the tile.

5) Press with Temp/Time/Pressure settings listed above.

6. Carefully remove tile from the press and allow to air cool.

§ You can press more than 1 tile at a time if you have 2 or more inches of empty space surrounding all four sides of the tile. Add 1 minute of dwell time for each additional tile used during an imprinting session. For example, to press four OT4 tiles add 3 minutes for a total time of 7 minutes.

§ Edges of the tiles are not suitable for full coverage printing.

If you are mounting these tiles and want to use grout: Un-sanded grout should be used. Tiles can be cleaned with any household non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth or sponge.

OUR INSTRUCTIONS ARE BASED ON USING A DK20S, DK3110 AND/OR A COUNTER TOP CONVECTION OVEN. TIMES AND TEMPERATURES WILL VARY DEPENDING ON WHICH EQUIPMENT YOU USE.
